Sundowns were linked with Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk in the January transfer window after he was a free agent following his exit from South Korean outfit Suwon FC. However, Veldwijk eventually signed with Spanish third-tier side Castellon after the Brazilians reportedly pulled out of the deal.
