MANILA, Philippines — Horror film 'Mallari' won the most awards with seven trophies, including Best Actor for Piolo Pascual, at the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences awarding ceremony held on Sunday at the Manila Hotel.'Mallari' is a 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival that talks about the horrific story of Fr. Severino Mallari, a 19th century priest and his descent into madness.
I accepted this project because I believed in the material and trusted the people I worked with. I am probably just overflowing with joy because I was given the opportunity to make this kind of film, and it was loved and supported by people, so thank you very much,' Bernardo said.'This movie is a product of hard work, love, and passion. So, thank you very much to everyone who supported us, to everyone who gave their time, and to everyone who loved our film.
