Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive clip from Vertical Entertainment's new comedy, The Donor Party. When Jaclyn runs into her ex with his new wife and baby, she spirals, lamenting that she'll never find a man and have children. Though her friends point out that she doesn't need a man to be a mother, they cook up a plan to help Jaclyn find a guy to sleep with, hoping that she'll become pregnant.
Jaclyn's friends introduce her to a number of potential donors at a party, and hilarity ensues as she partakes in a wild night of casual sex while at her friend's birthday party. But as secrets are revealed to the unsuspecting potential donors, everything begins to fall apart around her. The Donor Party will be in theaters and on demand on March 3.
The Donor Party takes very real problems, primarily those of a woman who is concerned that she has missed her chance to build a family, and approaches them through a satirical lens. The men that Jaclyn's friends set her up with are exaggerations of tropes often seen in men in comedies and romantic films. While Jaclyn's desire is understandable and her friends' loyalty is admirable, The Donor Party taps into the absurd humor of this situation.
The Donor Party stars Malin Åkerman, Ryan Hansen, Jerry O’Connell, Rob Corddry, Erinn Hayes, and Bria Samoné Henderson. The Donor Party is written and directed by Thom Harp. The Vertical Entertainment release has a runtime of 93 minutes and is not yet rated.The Donor Party will be available in theaters and on demand on March 3.
