Malik Nabers had his first press conference as a member of the New York Giants on Friday and it's safe to say he made an impression., grabbing the explosive wide receiver to give quarterback Daniel Jones the type of perimeter weapon he has been lacking. During his first meeting with the press, Nabers gave a phenomenal quote in which he even managed to refer to himself in the third person.
Nabers was asked about how many draft experts said that separation was his greatest attribute, and what that meant to him and what it felt like to separate from defenders. His reply was priceless.The trio of Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Rome Odunze had separated themselves from the rest of the receivers in this year's draft. All three have the makings to be future stars.
Nabers was phenomenal during his final season at LSU. As a junior, he had 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns while catching passes from Heisman Trophy-winner. Nabers is as explosive as anyone in his draft class, as he ran a 4.35 40-yard dash and had a 42-inch vertical at LSU's pro day. At 6' and 200 pounds, he has the size, speed and athleticism to be a star in the NFL. He's also apparently quotable enough to be a star off of it.
