Mali accuses France of sharing 'false images' to defame the African country after a mass grave was found near former French military base
French army"illegally" flew a drone over the Gossi base, Mali junta says, which was recently handed by departing French forces to Mali and where a mass grave has been found by authorities.
The drone "illegally" flew over the Gossi base on April 20, the day after French forces handed the site back to Mali, the junta said in a statement on Tuesday. The army said it found the grave the day after the images were published and claimed the bodies' advanced stage of putrefaction ruled out Malian soldiers' responsibility.
