"For someone who struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome , I have always had concerns about my body image. It took me 15 years to accept my skin condition, especially the 'bumpy' skin texture on my back, shoulders and upper arms. For years, I covered up my skin and hid my body from the world. But, I recently got the courage to, finally, let my skin be," said Syaeeza from Miri, Sarawak.

"We bring ourselves down because of these 'flaws' when in reality, our bodies don't make us who we are. It is what is on the inside that count – our beliefs, passion and our love. Our imperfections shouldn't stop us from feeling good or happy. We should be proud of ourselves and our body, no matter how we look," says the English teacher at SK Pendidikan Khas Miri.

For years, Syaeeza covered her body up with clothes but she recently got the courage to finally let her skin be.
