Malaysia’s deficit will be 65pc if civil servants’ salaries rise further, anwaribrahim says
Barisan Nasional communications director Shamsul Anuar Nasarah said Muhyiddin had made the claim and that Azmin had backed the Bersatu president’s allegation. BN demanded the two PN leaders apologise and retract their remarks against Zahid, who is the BN chairman and Umno president.“Zahid has never abused his position to charge PN leaders. The deputy prime minister’s focus is on managing the nation’s affairs,” Shamsul said in a statement.
Muhyiddin had claimed the charges were part of BN and Pakatan Harapan’s efforts to immobilise Bersatu and PN after its strong showing in the 15th general election.Azmin accused Putrajaya of attempting to cover up its weaknesses by putting pressure on PN, according to Agenda Daily. Shamsul claimed that the remarks by Muhyiddin and Azmin were merely excuses aimed at covering up corruption in PN, saying their finger-pointing was a “normal” move for them.
