That's more than triple what it was in May 2020 😯 MyIX TechNave

As reported by Bernama, MyIX chairman Chiew Kok Hin asserted that this surge in bandwidth demand showed that the Internet and digital economy are deeply entrenched in Malaysian lifestyle and work cultures, especially hybrid formats. An initiative under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission , MyIX today has a total of 132 autonomous systems with 210 ports.

Chiew further elaborated that MyIX is looking forward to more investor-friendly policies by the government to further strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional tech hub. He also projected that the demand would keep on rising, as the Malaysia Digital strategy continued to drive adoption and opportunities in the digital economy to support the national recovery plan.

Speaking of which, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation has also recently revealed that the digital economy is contributing 22.6 per cent to Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product. Moreover, it is set to rise even more, up to 25.5 per cent by 2025. So, what do you guys think of the increased bandwidth demand in our country?
