PETALING JAYA: Malaysia bakal menerima agihan segera ubat Antiviral Tecovirimat dan vaksin MVA-BN bagi membendung penularan wabak cacar monyet atau Mpox dalam masa terdekat.
Katanya, TPOXX digunakan dalam rawatan virus MPox khususnya kepada individu yang mengalami jangkitan teruk dan golongan yang mempunyai imuniti lemah. Dr. Dzulkefly berkata, vaksin MVA-BN hanya diberikan khas kepada kumpulan berisiko tinggi termasuk petugas kesihatan dan kontak rapat kes yang telah disahkan.
Pada Khamis lalu, Dr. Dzulkefly dilaporkan berkata, seramai 3.26 juta pengembara sudah melalui saringan Mpox di Terminal 1, Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur .
