Malay voters’ support for Pakatan-BN in Penang could create upset, says Anwar
Pakatan Harapan chairman Anwar Ibrahim says the Malays in Penang are confident of the track record achieved by the unity government since taking over the country’s leadership eight months ago, and this could see a major shift in them giving their support to PH-BN. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 5, 2023.
“They alleged he is leaving Islam, which was the previous propaganda. After eight months, the message has now turned to saving Islam and saving the Malays,” he said when speaking at a Penang Madani Unity Tour ceramah tonight. Anwar also believed the people in Penang were always leading trends, not only in the change of state governments but also in the Malay national struggle.
