'Tate’s rhetoric should be considered as extremist material and removed from TikTok' ✍️ Nicola Thorp writes for MetroOpinion

He’s a former kickboxer, ex-Big Brother contestant and current d**khead whose misogynistic views have brought him online infamy.– or rather, the main villain – as his videos have racked up over 11.6billion views.

But what sets Andrew Tate apart from other ‘lifestyle’ coaches – in the worst possible way – is his outspoken, hateful attitude towards women. Many may argue that by highlighting the existence of people like him, we give them oxygen. But I’m not here to platform him.Instead, I wish to give a platform to those who are speaking out against Tate and the rape-culture that he perpetuates., said ‘if you put yourself in a position to be raped, you must bear some responsibility’.

We know there are men in the world who think and speak like this. Men who talk in small circles of equally depraved friends. Men whose platform is as large as the surface area of the pub table at which they sit. Considering the rise in incel-related terror threats and incidents in the UK and around the globe, Tate’s rhetoric should be considered as extremist material and removed from TikTok.

‘There are men out here in the world who have genuine loneliness,’ he says, referring to an ‘average’ man. ‘Why do you think it’s all the men killing themselves compared to the women?’
