The MoH Facebook account states that at stage one, patients are positive but not symptomatic while stage two comprise patients who are positive and are mildly symptomatic.
The MoH also found that seven per cent of Covid-19 patients who come under stage three and four, which sees stage three comprising patients who are positive but do not require respiratory aid while stage four is when a patient develops pneumonia and requires respiratory aid. "Five per cent in the fifth stage comprise patients who suffer from shortness of breath and need breathing apparatus aid," he said.
On Tuesday, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in his daily press briefing, said that Malaysia had recorded 3,963 Covid-19 positive cases to date, with 170 new cases being recorded as of noon yesterday. He said of the total, 92 positive cases of Covid-19 were being treated in the Intensive Care Unit and 50 cases needed respiratory assistance."This makes 1,321 cases, which is 33.33 percent of the total number of cases, which were allowed to go home," he said.
