A 14-week project of maintenance works on two major motorways is set to begin.
The works will take place at a number of different locations on the M80 between Junctions 2 and 7 and the M73 between Junctions 3 and the M80.
Road workers will work in phases over the 14-week period, moving on to the next section in the project once the various works are completed at each location. They will be carried out using overnight lane closures for two weeks - then an overnight carriageway closure for one week.Structural joint replacements, surfacing repairs, and cyclic maintenance works will be carried out at various locations on the two motorways.During this period, structural concrete repairs will be completed on the M80 northbound and southbound carriageways at Junction 4a.
