NSW council rangers will soon be banned from issuing ticketless parking fines, with rangers now forced to issue an “on-the-spot notification” to a vehicle which is subject to a fine. NSW Finance Minister Courtney Houssos will legislate the change this month, in a move backed by NSW Premier, Chris Minns.
Ticketless parking fines to be banned. It will mean the rangers will now be forced to put a sticker or traditional parking ticket on the car. Council rangers will only be allowed to issue ticketless fines if they install signage or if there is no phone reception, such as national parks or in timed, enclosed carparks, The Daily Telegraph reported.
