A fire broke out early Saturday morning at a marina in Gig Harbor , Washington , engulfing two boats in flames. The blaze originated on a recreational vessel docked at the Bujacich Dock off Harborview Drive around 7:00 a.m. The fire rapidly spread to a second boat, sending plumes of smoke visible across the waterfront. Fire crews from Gig Harbor Fire Department , assisted by the Coast Guard and West Pierce Fire & Rescue , responded swiftly to the scene.
They deployed fireboats and personnel to combat the flames, successfully preventing the fire from reaching a nearby fleet of commercial fishing boats.
