Two police officers and one soldier were hurt on Saturday after they figured in a shootout as they were about to serve a warrant of arrest and search warrant to former Maimbung, Sulu Vice Mayor Pando Mudjasan.

According to Carlo Mateo's report on super radyo dzBB Mudjasan's group started firing at authorities as they neared Pudjasan's home.

Two police officers and one soldier were hurt in the incident, according to Jonathan Andal's report on 24 Oras. The shooting reportedly stopped after the suspects escaped. Authorities are still validating if some in Mudjasan's group were injured. GMA Integrated News has reached out to Mudjasan for comment but he has yet to reply as of posting time. The Philippine National Police said the arrest warrant for Mudjasan is for a murder case while the search warrant is for illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
