With a talented team that’s been playing superb soccer all season, the Bulldogs are back at state for the second time ever. Magnolia has had some uber-talented teams over the past couple years that have come up short of state. Last year’s team fell in the regional championship. Two years ago, the playoffs were canceled due to COVID-19. And three years ago, the Bulldogs were stunned and sent home in the first round of the playoffs.“Now I can look back and now that we’re there again, it’s serious,” Cleveland said. “You may never get to do that again.
Cleveland invited her former player Allison Abendschein, a member of the 2013 team and a former assistant coach on her staff, to speak the Bulldogs.
