MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Tuesday, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology . The earthquake’s epicenter was located 113 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental, and was detected by Phivolcs at 7:20 a.m.Phivolcs said that Instrumental Intensity I was felt in Don Marcelino in Davao Occidental, Malungon in Sarangani and General Santos in South Cotabato.
According to the Phivolcs Intensity Scale, Intensity I is only “slightly perceptible” and is only felt under favorable circumstances.
