If your lawn is looking like it's seen better days then now could be the perfect time to take action
Winter has given many of our lawns a good beating, but if you're sick of the dreary weather, the good news is spring is just a few weeks away. And with the light nights just around the corner, now could be the time to start sprucing up your outdoor space in time for the sunshine.
One product has been designed to specifically tackle this issue, a 1kg bag of Avern Dog Patch Grass Seed is designed to tackle damaged turf caused by dogs and costs £12.99 on Amazon, or £23.99 for a 2kg bag. The brand says the seed has been "scientifically enhanced" to be dog pee resistant and creates "durable, lush green lawns for the whole family to enjoy".It has an average rating of 4.1 stars out of 5, with more than half of shoppers giving it five stars.
However there were some customers who said they'd struggled to get it to grow, one said: "Bought as we have a few patches courtesy of our lovely dog, Dixie. Spread the seed as I always do with any grass seed, watered etc. And a couple of week later, it's still visible as nothing but seed."
