Mbalula said the party takes no joy in expelling members, and if Magashule wishes to challenge that decision, he can do so.
JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress secretary-general Fikile Mbalula said his predecessor, Ace Magashule, has other avenues he can explore following his expulsion from the party.Magashule was found guilty of misconduct. In 2021, he unilaterally attempted to suspend party president Cyril Ramaphosa and subsequently refused to apologise to the party’s president and its structures.
Mbalula said Magashule can still approach other structures within the party to challenge the decision by the ANC's national disciplinary committee . “Anyone can subject those disciplinary processes to review if they think they are treated unfairly. There is an appeal in the ANC. There is the national executive committee.
"If you think you are treated unfairly by the NDC you appeal to the national disciplinary committee of appeal.”
