A relentless heatwave has led to a substantial rise in water usage, placing stress on the reservoir, as reported by Magalies Water.
The ongoing heatwave has created a significant surge in water demand, causing strain on the reservoir, according to an official statement by Magalies Water.David Magae, a spokesperson for Magalies Water, expressed his concerns.
“Demand is now surpassing our ability to supply. Regrettably, the reservoir’s water levels have plummeted, and as a consequence, some customers will face low water pressure or even intermittent water shortages.”In response to this critical situation, Magalies Water has activated water demand management strategies to sustain the existing water supply and avert a complete breakdown of the water distribution system.
