Australia star Trisha Stratford has been confirmed dead aged 72, by her colleague John Aiken.
The clinical neuropsychologist starred on the programme from 2015 until her departure in 2020 and was pronounced dead by her fellow co-star on the morning of September 18. John, 53, announced her tragic death on Instagram with a heartbreaking post and caption that read: ‘I’m heartbroken and devastated that my friend and dear colleague Trisha has passed away.
‘We shared an amazing seven seasons of @MAFS together. She loved everything New Zealand, relationships, the All Blacks, the Black Caps, French wine and travelling the world.The show’s network Channel Nine sent words of condolence to Stratford’s family in a statement that read: ‘We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr Trisha Stratford.‘Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and those closest during this difficult time.
Former contestants and stars of the series – that saw strangers marry each other on their first meeting – flooded the internet with tributes for the late expert.
