A Madison County man faces attempted murder charges after shots fired at officers.

Authorities say gunfire erupted during a search this morning in Huntsville which resulted in one man being arrested. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, officers in the department’s narcotics unit, street crime unit and SWAT team conducted a search in the 1500 block of Beard Street.However, no rounds were returned, authorities said, due to “lack of target identification.” Instead, SWAT officers breached the building and a man surrendered without injury.
The man, identified as LaQuince Shamarr Green, was arrested and faces three counts of attempted murder, drug possession and drug trafficking charges. He is being held on $312,500 bond. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
