MADD Texas reminds drivers to stay sober when driving this holiday weekend
This Memorial Day Weekend, Mothers Against Drunk Driving here in Texas are reminding all of us to stay safe behind the wheel.With the holiday marking the unofficial start of summer, MADD urges everyone to think ahead if plans include alcohol and use taxis, public transportation, rideshare services or call a non-drinking friend.
Emma Dugas is the MADD Texas Program Manager. She joined KRLD's David Rancken and Kristin Diaz on the Afternoon News.

Texas police departments begin 'Click it or Ticket' enforcement - KRLD NewsPolice departments in Texas and the Texas Department of Transportation have started increased enforcement of seat belt laws. TxDOT launched the first 'Click it or Ticket' campaign in 2002; this year's campaign will continue through June 4. Thursday, TxDot hung a pick-up truck from a crane in Dallas using only a seat belt.
