Mad Dog Russo calls Lakers 6-year, $70-million offer to Dan Hurley 'atrocious' and 'awful'
“So let me get this straight, the Lakers tell everybody that this is the guy that they want, they fly the family out there Thursday, they romance him, and the offer they give him is six years, $70 million?” Russo said Wednesday on “First Take.”, opting to seek a historic three-peat at UConn during the 2024-25 season.
Instead, Hurley was back coaching his team at UConn on Monday and is currently recruiting at the NBA Top 100 Camp in Orlando. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported they hoped to have a coach in place by the NBA Draft on June 26. Free agency begins June 30.
