Tar Heels lost 70-50 at home to James Madison on Saturday
North Carolina head coach Mack Brown said late Saturday he's not resigning following a 70-50 loss to James Madison. Mack Brown may or may not have told his North Carolina team he was resigning in an emotional locker room speech following a 70-50 home loss to James Madison on Saturday, but later clarified that he was staying put.
Mack Brown told ESPN on Saturday he’s not resigning and “will be back at work” Sunday following an embarrassing 70-50 loss to James Madison. He said it was an emotional locker room and told the team he blamed himself and would step away if he couldn’t get things straightened out.— citing sources — that Brown told his team he was “walking away” in the middle of his sixth season. However, the site later backtracked to indicate Brown was staying on.
I'm seeing reports online about Mack Brown telling the UNC football team post-loss that he's walking away from the job.
