Live updates on the M65 closure in East Lancs
The motorway is shut between junctions six for Blackburn and five for Guide as of around 2.30pm today .
Lancashire Constabulary is leading the incident. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.Vulnerable dad died on train tracks as family ask police 'why is there no record of looking for him?' Traffic monitoring service Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to police incident on M65 in both directions between J5 A6077 and J6 A6119 Whitebirk Drive ."
Long delays are expected due to the incident. LancsLive has approached police for information on what has caused the closure.
