BANGKOK: Vendors around the clocktower at Chatuchak Market in Bangkok are protesting after being told they will be evicted to make way for landscaping work at the central landmark.
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reminded heads of Malaysian diplomatic missions of their significant responsibility in defending and protecting Malaysia's national interests.
"I stressed the need for them to take a more proactive role in following up, exploring, and attracting high-quality foreign investments, as well as enhancing bilateral trade to boost the country's economy," he said. On Aug 27, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, presented the instruments of appointment to the newly appointed envoys in a ceremony held at Istana Negara.
