According to a report by Sinar Harian, the sentence came with 3 strokes of the cane and the rape took place 5 years ago on September 11, 2019, at a condominium in i-City, Shah Alam. Syed sobbed when the charge was read to him at the Shah Alam Sessions Court, and his wife, who just gave birth to their 1st child less than a month ago had to calm him down.
Syed’s family members also brought their 16-day-old baby girl to her dad before Syed was taken to Kajang prison.Syed’s lawyer appealed to the court to postpone the execution of the prison sentence because he had to support his wife who had just given birth, not to mention that it was Syed’s 1st offense and he had no previous criminal records.
