The supermarket took to Instagram to show a video of a woman in black shapewear and posted a comment in response to the messages after it was criticised for the post
M&S hit back on Friday after it was slammed by trolls for 'not using diverse bodies'.
The post attracted some negative comments from people who did not feel it represented 'real women'. M&S responded to the criticism by writing: "A kind reminder to our followers that we use our platform in a positive way. We're proud to represent and celebrate people of all shapes and sizes. Another said: "Is this serious, let's see the women who buy your shapewear" while a third wrote: "Omg society is nuts, who even designs clothes for the average woman."
"So go look for yourself before handing along your insecurities in a comment that invalidates your own argument- showing their clothing on DIFFERENT bodies not just thin or just fat."
