A tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 5:37 p.m. in effect until 6 p.m. for Lycoming County.
"At 5:36 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Cammal, moving southeast at 15 mph," says the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."The weather service adds, "Take cover now! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows.
