This year's event, featuring nine prominent watch brands, highlighted the event's growing significance in the watchmaking calendar. Tiffany & Co. made its debut at the showcase, marking a significant milestone in its watchmaking journey. After four years of meticulous planning, Tiffany & Co.
unveiled five new timepieces, reflecting its heritage in jewelry and its commitment to innovation. Showcased on the 10th floor of The Landmark, the collection included a Carat 128 watch with a 34-carat aquamarine dial crystal, and pieces from the Jean Schlumberger-designed Twenty-Four Stone and Bird on the Rock collections. The new timepieces range in price from approximately $5,000 for a silver watch from the HardWear line to six figures for models with complications like a tourbillon or the Carat 128 Aquamarine Watch. Tiffany & Co.'s watchmaking business has been experiencing double-digit growth since its acquisition by LVMH in 2021, a trend anticipated to continue for the next four to five years. The brand is investing heavily in expanding its watch studio presence, with flagship renovations planned in key locations like South Coast Plaza, Sanlitun, Milan's Via Montenapoleone, and Ginza, Tokyo, over the next five years.Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton made its first appearance at LVMH Watch Week, showcasing its high watchmaking expertise to its vast collector base. The brand is focusing on repositioning its watchmaking identity, with a new release strategy that prioritizes quality over quantity. Louis Vuitton's 10-strong lineup included the Tambour Taiko Spin Time, featuring a thinner case, reworked lugs, and a new in-house self-winding mechanical movement. The Antipodes variation stood out, displaying time in two timezones, one in each hemisphere.Louis Vuitton's independent watchmaking partners, La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, also presented novelties. Master watchmakers Enrico Barbasini and Michel Navas showcased pieces that exemplified their respective strengths. The Daniel Roth Extra Plat Souscription embodied classicism, while the Gentissima Oursin Fire Opal celebrated design extravagance, drawing inspiration from the late Gérald Genta's extensive sketch collection.
