The mayoral candidate dropped another $1.25 million into his campaign Tuesday, opening him up to attacks from opponents
Daniel Lurie is self-financing his San Francisco mayoral campaign at a faster clip than any of his opponents can match and has established himself as a formidable candidate entering the final stages of the race.
Lurie has spent more of his own money on the campaign — $4.7 million in total as of Tuesday — than any of his opponents have been able to raise. The poll followed a survey last week that also showed Lurie faring well in a ranked-choice scenario, which can be difficult to replicate in a poll. Much of the criticism in the race thus far has been pointed at Breed, who has been perceived as a frontrunner and has suffered from high disapproval ratings among voters for the last several years of her term.
Earlier this month, he opened his third campaign office, this one in Chinatown. He also has offices in the Mission district and the Inner Sunset. Lurie has also been on a media blitz, with new ads attacking Farrell.
