PORT DICKSON: Police believe they have solved the murder of a man who was stabbed outside a food court in Lukut near here following the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect in Kota Baru.
District police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the suspect was detained in Pengkalan Chepa at around 1.15pm on Wednesday .
"We obtained an order from the Magistrate's Court here today to remand the suspect for seven days till April 19. "With the arrest of the main suspect, we believe the case has been solved," he said in a statement on Thursday . Supt Aidi said a post-mortem conducted at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital found the victim died after being stabbed in the neck.On March 1, police received a call from a member of the public at around 7.35pm, claiming that a man had been stabbed outside the food court.A medical team from the Lukut health clinic which arrived shortly after, had pronounced the victim dead.
