Jacques Nienaber has explained why the likes of Lukhanyo Am and Canan Moodie were not selected ahead of the semi-final match against England.
Springbok centre Lukhanyo Am is unlikely to play at this year’sAm was an injury replacement for winger Makazole Mapimpi two weeks ago.The Sharks outside centre suffered a knee injury in the team’s World Cup warm-up match against Argentina early in August which saw him miss out on the initial Springboks squad to do battle in France.
Lukhanyo Am has been one of the Boks’ best players since the 2019 World Cup however his absence hasn’t been felt yet but one could look at the game against France and think maybe he could have added some attacking flair late in the game.
