Luke Jackson joined the Giants bullpen on Tuesday, activated from the 60-day injured list after completing his 14-month rehab from Tommy John surgery.

“When I gave it to him, he goes, ‘Hey, I’m not gonna open this until you pitch,'” Jackson said. “I was like, ‘You do what you want. You can open it now. I don’t really care.’ He was like, ‘No, I’m gonna wait.’ So I said, all right, let’s do it.” “It’s been a long road for Luke,” Kapler said before the game, their second in a three-game set against the Pirates.
