Luigi Mangione's fingerprints appear to match those found near the scene where UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot last week, the New York City Police Department said Wednesday.NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a news conference that police were 'able to match the person of interest fingerprints' with prints that were found on a water bottle and protein bar wrapper found near the crime scene.
His lawyer, Thomas Dickey, told reporters late Wednesday that Mangione would plead not guilty to the Pennsylvania charges and that they were 'not aware of any actual charges in New York.'Mangione appeared at an extradition hearing in Pennsylvania on Tuesday and was seen shouting at the public while he wrestled with officers pushing him into the courthouse.Dickey said Tuesday that he told his client to stay quiet during the hearing and that Mangione 'shut his mouth' afterward.
