When Lucy is introduced in 2024 as Time Cut’s main character, her voiceover reveals that she’s a scientifically-minded teen whose family life has always been strained due to the death of her older sister, Summer, in 2003.

When Lucy traveled back to 2024 with Future Quinn, the time machine zapped to the future with her, which is how she was still able to return to 2003.
