Kellerberrin farmer Rob Linto says he's lucky to be alive after a bullet fired at him by murderer Lachlan Bowles came within 50 centimetres of his head.

"You don't expect it out here in the bush, to come across it is quite confronting and I'm still thinking about it," he said."It could have gone, it could have gone bad. It could have gone both ways."The ABC understands Bowles was wearing a Nazi swastika armband and had a Nazi flag with him.But WA Police Minister Paul Papalia refused to comment when asked about it at a press conference on Friday afternoon.
