Pumanaw nitong Linggo sa edad na 77 ang manunulat, nobelista at aktibista na si Lualhati Bautista.
Kinumpirma ng mga pinsan ni Bautista na sina Maria Rosario at Sonny Ross Samonte, ang malungkot na balita sa Facebook posts nitong ring Linggo.
"My first cousin, Ms. Lualhati Baustita[,] [well-known] writer, novelist, a feminist, known for her advocacy on women's rights, passed away this morning," saad ni Rosario sa caption ng kaniyang post."Sad [news] for our Torres Clan, Our first cousin [Lualhati Bautista] died at 77 [years] old this morning," ani Samonte.Nagbigay din ng pagpupugay kay Bautista si dating vice president Leni Robredo sa kaniyang post sa Twitter.
"Isang pagpupugay kay Lualhati Bautista. Maraming salamat, Ma'am, sa pagbabahagi ng sarili, husay, at tapang sa pamamagitan ng inyong buhay at mga akda. Malaking karangalan po na matanggap ang inyong suporta," anang dating pangalawang pangulo.—
