Overseas Filipino workers in Taiwan will soon be able to renew their driver’s licenses online, the Land Transportation Office announced.According to a statement on Thursday, the LTO and the Department of Migrant Workers will be launching a pilot implementation of a digital transaction for the renewal of driver’s licenses in Taiwan, involving around 400 OFWs in Taichung and Kaohsiung, on September 21 and 22.
Interested OFWs would be tasked to provide the following: Driver’s license expiring within 60 days or within 2 years, with no revisions to be made prior to renewal Active LTMS portal with OFW’s biometric profile Online Comprehensive Driver’s Education certification from the LTO portal Medical certificate from an LTO-accredited facilityThe license card will be printed and shipped through a preferred courier to the OFW once it has been paid.
