LTO holds road safety seminars for soldiers, Coast Guard personnel

A total of 97 soldiers and personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Metro Manila were subjected to enhancing road safety awareness as part of the effort of LTO to promote safety of both motorists and commuters. ManilaBulletin

LTO-National Capital Region director Roque Verzosa III said the road safety seminars were attended by 24 personnel of the Philippine Army in Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, and 73 PCG personnel in Mandaluyong City.“This is part of our road safety program which also include Conductor's Theoretical Course seminar, the Theoretical Driving Course seminar, and Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving trainings,” said Verzosa.

Joey F. Yap, the Training Facilitator from LTO-NCR, said the training served as a refresher for government personnel, emphasizing the significance of road safety, including traffic rules, regulations, and best practices.According to Yap, the Road Safety seminars covers a wide range of topics, including Road and Traffic Rules, Defensive Driving, and Handling Emergencies and Breakdowns.

“Additionally, it aimed to raise awareness about potential road hazards and equip the attendees with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions while driving or walking,” said Yap.
