Brian Kelly's LSU Tigers have made major additions to their receiving corps through the NCAA Transfer Portal, adding Nic Anderson from Oklahoma and Malik Nabers from Kentucky. These talented transfers, along with returning players, are expected to form a formidable offensive unit in 2025.

Brian Kelly and the LSU football staff made a significant splash in the NCAA Transfer Portal during the winter window, adding several players who are expected to make an immediate impact on the program. LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier will have a wealth of talent to work with offensively, as the staff secured two Day 1 starters for the Bayou Bengals heading into the 2025 season.

The Tigers will welcome back Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton, and Zavion Thomas, who were productive players in 2024. However, with the addition of two new wide receivers, LSU's receiving corps is poised to be even stronger.On3 Sports recently released its latest Transfer Portal Rankings, and the LSU Tigers landed a pair of Top-10 wide receivers in the current cycle. These talented additions are expected to bolster the Tigers' already potent offense and give Nussmeier a plethora of options. Among the notable transfers joining the LSU ranks is Nic Anderson from Oklahoma. Anderson set the Oklahoma freshman record for touchdown receptions with 10 in 2023, and his 798 receiving yards that year rank No. 2 in Oklahoma history for a freshman. In two years with the Sooners, Anderson appeared in 17 games with six starts, all coming as a redshirt freshman in 2023. He missed the entire 2024 season due to an injury but earned Freshman All-America honors from The Athletic in 2023 and was twice named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. Anderson had three 100-yard games, with a career-high 120 yards on three receptions against Tulsa. All three of his receptions against Tulsa went for touchdowns. Other 100-yard games in 2023 came against West Virginia (119 yards) and Central Florida (105 yards). He scored a touchdown in seven games, including three against Tulsa and two against Central Florida. Anderson became the first freshman in Oklahoma history to have three receiving TDs in a game. In OU’s 2023 win over Texas, Anderson caught the game-winning TD pass with 15 seconds left in the 34-30 win over the Longhorns. He capped his redshirt freshman season with seven receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown against Arizona in the Alamo Bowl.Anderson was a four-star prospect at Katy High School and was ranked as the nation’s No. 15 wide receiver prospect by ESPN. Now, Anderson has officially arrived in Baton Rouge for the spring semester after moving in last weekend. He began working out with the program this week with the strength and conditioning coaches getting a chance to work with the new-look team.Another key addition to the LSU receiving corps is Malik Nabers, who is transferring from Kentucky. After a three-year stint with the Wildcats, Brown now has over 120 career catches, 1500+ receiving yards, and double-digit touchdowns under his belt. Brown also holds the record for most kick return touchdowns in SEC history with five in his college career. Look for Brown to be an integral piece to LSU's success in 2025.Coach Brian Kelly spoke highly of both Anderson and Brown, emphasizing their experience, explosiveness, and maturity. Kelly believes their presence will be invaluable to the young players in the receiving room and create a strong dynamic for Nussmeier to work with. Both Anderson and Brown have settled into Baton Rouge and are eager to contribute to the program's success
