LSU DB Sevyn Banks was taken off the field on a stretcher after suffering an injury on the opening kickoff against Auburn.
Banks went in to make a tackle headfirst on the opening kick and did not move after making contact with Auburn kick returner Keionte Scott.
After the hit, Banks was loaded onto a stretcher. LSU was handed a 15-yard penalty after the play after a video review determined that Banks' hit was worthy of a targeting infringement. According to the ESPN broadcast, Banks was responsive as he was being lifted onto the medical cart. He is also being sent to East Alabama Medical Center.
