LPA to leave PH area of responsibility Thursday or Friday — PAGASA READ:
A low pressure area may continue to bring rains until its exit from the country’s area of responsibility by Thursday or Friday, Jan. 27 or 28, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Wednesday, Jan. 26.
After crossing the Visayas, the LPA is expected to traverse Palawan on its way to the West Philippine Sea, Aurelio said. PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides due to the occurrence of moderate to at times heavy rains. Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” may bring cloudy skies and rains over Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora.
