A Loveland child was killed in what a Loveland Police Department official described as an unintentional shooting Monday night.
Padgett said the gun was in the possession of a family member and the child did not have possession of it. However, the exact circumstances surrounding how the gun was fired is still being investigated, he added. All people involved in the incident have been cooperative and there is no threat to the community as the incident appeared to be “unintentional and isolated,” according to Padgett.
