Love Island favourites Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have called it quits just seven weeks after leaving the villa. The pair had a tumultuous journey on the ITV2 show, with many doubting their relationship would survive in the real world. They were even labelled as the 'least compatible' before being booted out of the villa. Since their departure from the show, the couple has been noticeably absent from each other's lives, with Joey jetting off to Ibiza while Jessy remained in Essex.
However, it seems the pair have decided it's best to stay friends, reports the Mirror. "Unfortunately, we have decided to call an end to the relationship but I hope we can continue to be friends," Joey revealed. "I truly wish Jessy the very best with whatever she does in the future." "I'm so grateful to everyone who supported us and look forward to all of the exciting opportunities ahead," she stated. Despite leaving the show on her own terms, Joey faced accusations of "faking" his feelings for Jessy and being overly absorbed in the game tactics.
