ITV has dropped a brand new trailer ahead of the show’s return to South Africa next month, unveiling the first glimpse at our new host, Maya Jama, who takes over the reins fromMaya, 28, looks radiant as hell in the five-second preview, aptly dressed in a black sequined jumpsuit with gold embellished star sign detailing.
The teaser is set to air during tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, where viewers will also be treated to another sneaky clip featuring a velvet bejewelled bucking bronco. Of course, Maya, who has been dubbed the show’s official love motivator, will be encouraging both this year’s Islanders as well as the fans at home to go and grab love by the horns.The television host will make her Love Island debut when the series returns in January ‘I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows!’ she enthused at the time.
The 37-year-old had fronted the programme, and its spin-off series Aftersun, since 2020 after the death of the show’s former presenter Caroline Flack. Paul Mortimer, director of reality programming and acquisitions and controller at ITV2, ITVBe and CITV, said that finding a new presenter to replace Laura was ‘never going to be easy’.
