Raphael Varane es el jugador más reciente que quedó fuera después de que el miércoles el central francés fue descartado las “próximas semanas” por el United debido a una lesión no especificada.
Varane salió al medio tiempo de la victoria por 3-2 del United ante el Nottingham Forest el sábado en la Liga Premier. Definitivamente estará fuera cuando el United viaje el domingo para enfrentar al Arsenal antes de que la liga se tome dos semanas de descanso por los partidos internacionales.
La ausencia de Varane podría impactar la decisión de vender a Harry Maguire, quien dejó de ser capitán del equipo al final de la campaña anterior y está ligado a un traspaso al West Ham. Maguire es la cuarta opción como central del United detrás de Varane, el argentino Lisandro Martínez y Victor Lindelof.
El Manchester United ha ganado dos de sus primeros tres encuentros de liga. Uno fue la victoria 1-0 ante el Wolverhampton en la que Varane anotó.
