TAPACHULA, México — Los presidentes de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, y Guatemala, Bernardo Arévalo, mantendrán el viernes una reunión en Tapachula, la ciudad mexicana más importante en la frontera entre ambos países, para hablar sobre migración, infraestructuras y cómo ofrecer empleos temporales a los guatemaltecos en territorio mexicano, adelantó la canciller mexicana.

“Queremos lograr que ese espacio fronterizo sea un espacio ejemplar… nada de muros, que la gente sienta que entró a un país que es un país grato que le puede ofrecer oportunidades”, subrayó Bárcena. Para los migrantes, sin embargo, llegar a México está lejos de ser un placer.
